SUMMER MEMORIES

Summer Memories was a melancholic but playful throwback in Fynnandmathis’s memories of the summer 2023. All looks were exclusively styled from already existing clothes, exploring the limits of what garments can be used for. The use of bright and vibrant colors in the composition of the outfits was reminiscent of the playfulness and recklessness of a summer day while the operatic soundscape immersed the audience in the melancholia of a summer night. The outfits were modeled by local swimmers, the soundscape was performed by a professional opera singer together with an electric guitar player, the team was composed of Design Academy Eindhoven students. By bringing together distinct communities Fynnandmathis state that fashion must be a sharing of cultures.
